Thanksgiving Feast

This year, as always, the Bellaire Club will host a traditional holiday meal directly after the noon meeting on Thanksgiving Day (November 27).

  • Sign-up sheets are posted – we need everything from turkey to ham to dressings, salads, rolls, sides, desserts and pies!
     
  • Even if you can't stay for the meal, you are still welcome to drop off a veggie plate or some sweets, or just stop by to spend a few moments visiting with your "family of choice".
     
  • The meal is free to all; donations will be gratefully accepted.

Bellaire Club is Smoke Free!

Effective Sunday, November 9, 2008 Smoking is no longer allowed anywhere inside the club.

The membership of the Bellaire Club voted to make the entire club a non-smoking space at the quarterly meeting Saturday, November 8, 2008.

Thank you for helping to make the club a healthier and more attractive place to achieve recovery.

Located just west of the 610 loop in Houston TX, the "World Famous" Bellaire Club has provided a home for Alcoholics Anonymous meetings since 1981.

At the Bellaire Club you will find people who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other for the purpose of recovery from alcoholism and helping others to recover. The club hosts AA meetings every day and the members and friends of the club celebrate with gatherings and events throughout the year.

You can show off at the talent shows, share your profound verse at the "Drunk Poets Society" events, or just grab a meeting and find a friend to have coffee with afterwards.

As the Big Book says: "We are not a glum lot. We insist on enjoying life."
