Bellaire entry

Entrance to the New Club

The future of the Bellaire Club will be celebrated with a Blast from the Past on Saturday October 1, when we will hold our Grand Reopening celebration.

The past – and pasta – is the theme, with a meal ticket of $7 covering a wide assortment of linguini, fettuccini, spaghetti, and plenty of side dishes. The event starts at 1:30 and last until the music stops.

Music of the Beatles and Led Zeppelin will be provided by the Bellaire Boys
Black Orchid Ritual will perform an unplugged set.
There also will be a chance to win or bid on fabulous special prizes, with a raffle and silent auction.

Volunteers are needed in all areas, so be sure to check out the sign-up sheets scattered around the club. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

We’re spreading the word to other AA groups in the area that we have reopened and we’re going strong with more meetings by the day! Help us spread the word. Download the flyer and print out a few copies for your friends at other meetings.

Mark your calendar, bring a newcomer and make plans to celebrate our vibrant new club.

Grand Opening Flier

We will have a lot of new people looking us over at the grand opening so we want the place to really look its best. In anticipation of the event, Arch’s Army has issued a work call for Saturday (September 24) at 9:00 a.m. In addition to the handwriting on the wall in the main meeting room, there will be the installation of the new neon sign. It’s going to say: “Insist on Enjoying Life.”

There’s a need for a little touch up painting, straightening up, etc… So come on over. Bring a sunny disposition along with a helping hand or food to feed the hungry workers.

Happily trudging that road of destiny are our September birthday celebrants. If you want cake, it looks like the Open Door group might be your best bet! Here’s a list of the folks celebrating milestones of sobriety this month.

  • Open Door
    • Helen W. 7 years
    • Jim D. 7 years
